Massachusetts was admitted to the Union on February 6th, 1788 as the 6th state.
The state flower is the "Mayflower" and its' nickname is the "Bay State".
Massachusetts is bordered by
Vermont and New
Hampshire to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west,
Rhode Island and
Connecticut to the south
and New York to the west.
Massachusetts's economy is broken into two categories; agriculture and industry.

products, cranberries and vegetables
provide for the agricultural side. While
machinery, electric equipment, scientific
instruments, printing and publishing and tourism
provide for the industrial side.
