Dickson County, Tennessee
Dickson County is located in the north central portion of the state of Tennessee, and is a part of the eight-county Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area. There are 490 square miles within the county boundaries.Charlotte serves as the centrally located county seat. In 2000, there were almost 1,200 residents in Charlotte. Since 1990, the town’s population has grown by 35 percent. Other incorporated places in Dickson County include the Burns (1,366 residents in 2000), Dickson (12,244 residents), Slayden (185 residents), Vanleer (310 residents), and White Bluff (2,142 residents).
