Salem is the capital of Oregon and is the third largest city in Oregon. Located 45 minutes South of Portland, Salem is in the heart of Willamette Valley...one of the most fertile and agriculturally productive regions of the world. With approximately 13,000 full-time employees, State government is Salem's largest employer. Salem is also one of the largest food processing centers in the United States.
