Easton is located in Talbot County. It has a population of 12,000 residents and covers over 20 square kilometers of land.

Early names for Easton were Talbot Court House and Talbot Town. It wasn’t until 1788 that the town was renamed Easton. The town is the location for the Episcopal Diocese of Easton and is sometimes known as "Cathedral Town" or "The Colonial Capital of the Eastern Shore".
